Falcons have contacted free agents Turner, Brown
ESPN reported early this morning that the Atlanta Falcons have contacted San Diego free agent running back Michael Turner and Seattle place-kicker Josh Brown.
Both could make visits to Atlanta today to meet with the Falcons. The NFL free agency period began at 12:01 a.m. today, marking the first time NFL teams could contact and sign free agents or trade players already under contract.
Turner, a three-year player out of Northern Illinois, has rushed for 1,257 yards in his career backing up San Diego starter LaDainian Tomlinson. A fifth-round draft choice in 2004, Turner could all but remove Arkansas running back Darren McFadden for consideration in this year’s draft. Read more
